Incure CDM™ Compact — The Non-Polymer Belt for Processes the Standard CDM™ Can’t Run

A polypropylene conveyor belt works fine for most UV curing lines right up until the process itself rules polypropylene out — solvent exposure, elevated part temperature, or a belt-material compatibility requirement that no amount of process tuning solves.

A Different Belt, the Same Lamp Heads

The Incure CDM™ Compact is a UV conveyor belt chassis built on a 9-inch stainless-steel wire belt rather than the standard CDM™’s polypropylene belt, for curing processes where polypropylene isn’t suitable. It runs the identical F400 and F500 high-intensity mercury-arc lamp heads available on the standard CDM™, in x2AC single-assembly broadband or x2A dual-lamp UVA-only configurations, with no change to curing performance between the two chassis. The chassis ships without a lamp head — belt speed adjusts from 1.5 to 12.0 ft/min either way.

Same Curing Envelope, Different Footprint

Curing height (3.0–6.5 inches) and belt speed range match the standard CDM™ running the same F400 or F500 head exactly, so an existing F400/F500 cure schedule qualified on one platform transfers directly to the other without re-validation. What changes is the chassis itself: at 76 × 37 × 34 cm, the CDM™ Compact is meaningfully smaller than the standard CDM™’s 137 × 36 × 41 cm footprint — a real advantage for a line dedicated to F400 or F500 curing that doesn’t need the standard chassis’s full 12-configuration compatibility range.

Scoped Deliberately, Not a Downgrade

The CDM™ Compact is not a smaller version of the full CDM™ line — it’s scoped specifically to the two highest-intensity F-Series™ configurations. For UV LED lamp heads, or the wider F100/F200 arc configurations, the standard CDM™ is the correct platform; the Compact chassis doesn’t support them. That trade-off is deliberate: a line that only ever needs F400 or F500 intensity gains a smaller footprint and a non-polymer belt without losing anything it was actually going to use.

Maximum Part Width and Ordering

Maximum part width on the CDM™ Compact is up to 5 inches, and lamp head configuration — F400x2AC, F400x2A, F500x2AC, or F500x2A — is selected at order under the CDMC- part number prefix. A mounting stand is available as an optional accessory for F400 configurations, though not for F500. Because chassis and lamp head are ordered as separate line items, confirming both the belt material and the exact lamp configuration up front avoids a mismatch between what the line actually needs and what ships.

Power, Cooling, and Footprint Detail

The CDM™ Compact runs on 100–240V, 50/60Hz auto-ranging power input — the same as the standard CDM™ — and relies on forced-air cooling and exhaust ventilation to manage the F400/F500 mercury-arc heads’ thermal output, consistent with every arc configuration in the fleet. At 15.9 kg, the chassis alone (excluding lamp head) is light enough for a two-person lift into position without rigging equipment, a practical benefit on lines where the conveyor gets repositioned as production layouts change.

Belt Cleaning and Process Compatibility

Stainless-steel wire belts also simplify cleaning between product changeovers on lines running multiple adhesive chemistries — a wire belt doesn’t absorb or trap solvent residue the way a polypropylene surface can over repeated cycles, and it tolerates a wider range of cleaning agents without degrading. For a line that switches between formulations frequently, or that occasionally runs a solvent-based cleaning step as part of changeover, that durability difference is worth weighing alongside the primary solvent-compatibility and temperature considerations that usually drive the belt-material decision in the first place.

A Simpler Question Than It First Appears

Choosing between the standard CDM™ and the CDM™ Compact usually comes down to a single question: does this line need anything besides F400 or F500 intensity, ever? If the answer is genuinely no — no F100/F200 arc configurations, no UV LED heads planned for this station — the Compact’s smaller footprint and non-polymer belt option are a clear win with no real trade-off. If there’s a reasonable chance the line will need a wider intensity range or LED control integration down the road, the standard CDM™ chassis keeps that door open at the cost of a larger footprint today.
