Large-format UV LED flood lamps are most often run on an open bench with the lamp head suspended above the part — workable, but it leaves the assembly and the operator both exposed to a lamp head that’s too large to hand-shield effectively.
Built for the Upper End of the L-Series™ Range
The Incure C191C is a UV LED curing chamber with a 19.7″×19.7″×13.8″ (500 mm × 500 mm × 351 mm) internal curing space — the largest chamber in the C-Series™ range, and the only one matched to the larger L-Series™ UV LED flood lamps. Where the C131C and C141C both accept only L11 through L44 (a 4-inch × 4-inch maximum footprint), the C191C’s 19.7-inch floor area accommodates L-Series™ arrays from 8″×8″ up to 14″×14″.
The Only C-Series™ Chamber Built for L88 Through L1414
No other chamber in the C-Series™ range accepts an L88 or larger LED flood lamp — the C131C and C141C both cap out at the L44’s 4-inch × 4-inch footprint. The C191C’s floor accommodates the L88 (8″×8″), L1010 (10″×10″), L1212 (12″×12″), and L1414 (14″×14″) — the upper range of the L-Series™ typically used for PCB panel-scale curing, conformal coating sections, and large-area gasket and potting processes. For any process running these lamps that needs a controlled, UV-shielded enclosure, the C191C is the only chamber built for it.
Confirming which chamber matches a given lamp footprint before ordering is worth a quick check. Email Us with the lamp model and Incure can confirm compatibility.
Bringing Enclosed Operation to Production-Scale LED Curing
Large-format LED flood lamps are most commonly deployed in open-bench configurations precisely because there hasn’t historically been an enclosure large enough to house them. The C191C replaces that open-bench setup with a fully enclosed chamber — providing 360° UV shielding, a drawer-activated UV shut-off, and foot-switch/PLC/RS-232 control integration — without forcing the process onto a smaller lamp just to gain enclosure safety. Forced-air cooling keeps the lamp and chamber at stable operating temperature across extended batch cycles.
Internal Space and Construction
Internal curing dimensions: 19.7″×19.7″×13.8″ (500 mm × 500 mm × 351 mm); external dimensions: 22.4″×22.4″×15.7″ (569 mm × 569 mm × 399 mm). An adjustable shelf sets curing distance within the 13.8-inch internal height, the same drawer-activated UV shut-off interlock used across the C-Series™ provides the safety cutoff, and control interface options are foot-switch, PLC, or RS-232. Cooling is forced-air with louvers; there is no integrated chamber temperature sensor on this model.
An Important Compatibility Gap Worth Noting
The C191C has no chamber-compatible lamp in the L64 range — the L64’s 6″×4″ footprint doesn’t match either the C131/C141 series (capped at L44) or the C191 series (built for L88 and above). A process specifying the L64 flood lamp should plan for open-bench operation or a different enclosure strategy rather than assuming a C-Series™ chamber covers it.
Choosing Between the C-Series™ Chambers
For L11, L22, L33, or L44 lamps within the 4-inch × 4-inch footprint, the C131C or C141C is the correct chamber instead. For flat substrates requiring horizontal drawer loading with those same L11–L44 lamps, the C131D fits that case. All four chambers are documented together on the Incure B/C-Series™ UV Cure Chambers line post.
The Lamps and Related Equipment This Chamber Supports
The L88 through L1414 lamps this chamber houses are documented in full on the Incure L-Series™ UV LED Flood Lamps post. For the highest-intensity option at the L1212 footprint specifically, the C191C is also the only chamber sized for the full Incure W1212 water-cooled UV LED system‘s 12″×12″ array.
Sizing the Adjustable Shelf Across a Wide Lamp Range
Because the C191C accepts LED arrays spanning 8″×8″ up to 14″×14″, the adjustable shelf’s role here is doing more work than on the smaller C141C — it’s compensating not just for part height but for meaningfully different lamp-head footprints occupying the same chamber over time. A process that qualifies cure parameters with an L88 installed and later moves to an L1414 for a larger panel should treat that lamp change as a full requalification, confirming both the shelf position and the resulting dose at the part surface rather than assuming the earlier L88 settings carry over to a differently sized array.
Why Enclosed Operation Matters More at This Scale
Hand-shielding or bench-mounted partial shielding becomes progressively less practical as lamp footprint grows — an L11 or L22 is straightforward to shield with a small stand-mounted guard, but an L1414’s 14″×14″ array covers enough area that partial shielding leaves meaningful UV exposure at the periphery. The C191C’s full enclosure removes that scaling problem entirely: whether the installed lamp is an L88 or the largest L1414, the same 360° shielding and drawer-activated shut-off apply, so enclosure safety doesn’t degrade as the lamp footprint increases the way partial bench shielding would.
Confirming Fit for Large-Format Curing
Because production-scale LED flood lamps run at significant total optical power, operators should confirm eyewear is rated to the Incure Vison™ UV eye protection specification for whichever L-Series™ lamp is installed, even with the chamber’s shielding in place during loading and unloading.
