Not every UV cure station gets its own room. On a shared production floor or a lab bench with other unprotected work happening a few feet away, a standalone flood lamp scatters UV well past the part it’s actually curing — and building a dedicated partition wall around one station is a disproportionate fix for a problem that a shield mounted directly on the lamp stand solves instead, at a fraction of the installation cost and floor-space commitment. Front and Rear Shields Do Different Jobs
The front shield is the primary containment piece — a tinted acrylic wraparound that mounts over the lamp and stand assembly, blocking forward-scattered UV in the direction the operator faces. Both shields are constructed from tinted acrylic sheet formed with flared side panels for equipment clearance and reinforced mounting feet for stability, rather than a flat panel that would leave gaps at the edges. The rear shield is a supplemental accessory, not a default requirement: it secures under the stand’s mounting feet to block low-level backside radiation, worth adding specifically when personnel or equipment sit behind the lamp station rather than as a blanket recommendation for every installation. A station against a wall with nothing behind it often doesn’t need the rear shield at all; a station in the middle of an open floor plan usually does, since the two shields together are what gets a station to genuine 360° containment rather than protection in one direction only.
One Shield Fits Every Stand-Mounted F-Series™ Model
Both shields mount to the shared F-Series™ stand rather than to an individual lamp head, so one shield size covers F100, F200, F200P, F400, and F500 — no model-specific ordering required across the compact and portable form factors. The exception is F900P: its large-area bench platform uses a different stand entirely, so the Perimeter™ shield isn’t compatible with that model. A facility running a mix of F-Series™ models can standardize on one Perimeter™ shield across most of the fleet, but F900P installations need a separate containment approach.
Tinted Acrylic, Not Opaque
Both shields are tinted acrylic rather than an opaque barrier, which matters for how the station actually gets used day to day: the operator can watch the part and monitor the cure cycle in progress while the shield blocks scatter UV from reaching them. An opaque shield would technically contain UV just as well but would force the operator to either work blind to the cure or remove the shield partway through the cycle to check on it — defeating the purpose the shield was installed for in the first place. Tinted acrylic keeps containment and visibility from being a trade-off the operator has to negotiate on every cycle.

No Tools Required
The front shield lifts on and off the stand using an integrated handle; the rear shield slides into place under the stand’s mounting feet and is held there by the stand’s own weight. Neither requires fasteners or tools to install or remove, which matters for stations where the shield needs to come off periodically for maintenance access or lamp head changes rather than staying permanently bolted in place. That tool-free design also means a shield can move with the equipment if a station gets relocated on the floor, rather than requiring reinstallation hardware to be sourced and fitted again at the new location.
Where the Perimeter™ Fits
Shared production floors are the clearest case — blocking stray UV from an F-Series™ cure station from reaching adjacent operators and equipment on an open floor plan, without the capital cost of a dedicated partition. Multi-operator assembly cells benefit similarly, letting an F-Series™ station run side by side with other manual assembly work while the tinted shield contains scatter UV without walling the cure station off from the operator running it. R&D and QC benches often have the same shared-space problem at a smaller scale — the shield contains scatter UV on a bench where other unprotected work is happening nearby, without requiring a separate enclosed room for the curing step.
