The SN-30 is machined from phosphor bronze, chemically inert to very high viscosity adhesives, UV formulations, and the cleaning solvents used in optical and electronics manufacturing, with no ferrous particle sweep required after dispensing.

A Bore Size Worth Confirming Is Actually Necessary

If the deposit tolerance has any margin at all, testing at the SN-27’s 0.335 mm bore first — with its meaningfully lower backpressure and simpler barrel requirements — can validate whether the coarser gauge actually fails on the real part, rather than assuming the finest available gauge is automatically the safest choice. Dropping to the SN-30 only after that check avoids adding unnecessary pressure and pump-control complexity to a process that didn’t strictly need it.

Barrel and Pump Selection Matters as Much as the Needle

At 0.234 mm ID, the dispensing system feeding the needle becomes as important as the needle itself. A 1cc or 3cc barrel under syringe pump control gives the pump direct authority over volume delivery, compensating for the bore’s inherent backpressure shot to shot. A larger barrel running simple time-pressure dispensing has no equivalent compensation — pressure variation across the barrel’s fill level shows up directly as deposit-volume variation at the tip.
