A UV flood system is a lamp plus everything that controls where its light goes. On a shared production floor or a busy lab bench, the stand, the shield, and the enclosure decide whether UV stays on the part or reaches the people around it.<\/p>\n

Q: How should a UV flood system be shielded?<\/h3>\n

A: Match the containment to the space. A flood lamp in a dedicated enclosed area may need only operator eyewear; a lamp on an open floor needs a physical barrier such as a stand-mounted shield; a lamp running repetitive batch work is often best inside an interlocked chamber. For Incure F-Series\u2122 stand-mounted lamps, the Perimeter\u2122 shield covers the middle case, and the B-Series\u2122 chambers cover full enclosure.<\/p>\n

Three Levels of Containment<\/h3>\n

Think of containment as a ladder, from least to most enclosed:<\/p>\n

  1. Personal protection only<\/strong> \u2014 UV-blocking eyewear such as Incure’s Vison\u2122 goggles, suited to spaces where nobody else works within reach of scatter.<\/li>\n
  2. Perimeter shielding<\/strong> \u2014 a tinted acrylic shield mounted on the lamp stand, containing scatter on an open floor without walls or a separate room.<\/li>\n
  3. Full enclosure<\/strong> \u2014 an interlocked cure chamber that blocks output whenever it opens.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Each level adds to, rather than replaces, the one below it. A shield reduces exposure across the room; eyewear still protects the operator closest to the lamp.<\/p>\n

    The Shared F-Series\u2122 Stand<\/h3>\n

    Incure’s Perimeter\u2122 shields mount to the stand, not the lamp head. Because the F100, F200, F200P, F400, and F500 share the same stand, one shield size covers all five, so a facility running a mix of those models can standardize on a single shield. The F900P is the exception: its large-area bench platform uses a different stand, and the Perimeter\u2122 shield does not fit it.<\/p>\n
