Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about Incure Heat-Resist™ high temperature cyanoacrylate adhesives.
-
Heat-Resist™ is a rubber-toughened ethyl cyanoacrylate engineered for high-temperature and thermal shock applications. Unlike standard cyanoacrylates that become brittle above 80–95°C, Heat-Resist™ grades are rated to 135–145°C and maintain bond strength through repeated thermal cycling. The rubber modification also improves impact resistance and peel strength.
-
Heat-Resist™ 311 and 340 are rated from −55°C to 145°C. Heat-Resist™ 320 is rated from −55°C to 135°C. All grades resist thermal shock — rapid cycling between extreme low and high temperatures without bond failure.
-
Heat-Resist™ achieves up to 5,200 PSI on PC and PVC plastics and up to 5,200 PSI on steel — substantially higher than standard CA grades due to the rubber-toughened formulation. These strengths are maintained after thermal cycling.
-
Heat-Resist™ is available in medium viscosity (260–370 cP, grade 320) and very high viscosity (2,000–3,000 cP, grades 311 and 340). The medium-viscosity grade suits standard dispensing on flat or gapped surfaces; the high-viscosity grades are used for gap-filling and vertical-surface bonding.
-
Heat-Resist™ bonds plastics (PC, PVC, ABS), metals (steel, aluminium), rubber, foam, cloth, and wood. Grades 311 and 340 offer the broadest substrate compatibility across all of these materials.
-
Yes. Grade 340 meets ISO 10993-5 biocompatibility and Mil-A-46050C military specification. All grades resist alcohols, petrol, aromatic hydrocarbons, and diluted aqueous acids and bases — suitable for harsh outdoor and chemically exposed environments.
