High Temperature Silicone Glass Adhesives — Epo-Weld™

Single-component, brush-applied silicone-glass coating that fuses at 400°F to form a permanent inorganic glass barrier. Protects metals, stainless steel, and ceramics from oxidation, scaling, and chemical corrosion at continuous service temperatures up to 1,400°F.

Furnace manifold component coated with Epo-Weld™ HTSG silicone-glass for oxidation
Furnace Components & Manifolds
Coat furnace bodies, radiant tubes, and manifold assemblies to prevent oxidation scaling and surface degradation. The inorganic glass film is stable through repeated high-temperature thermal cycles.
Exhaust stack and manifold coated with Epo-Weld™ HTSG for oxidation and corrosion
Exhaust Stacks & Manifolds
Protect exhaust manifolds, stacks, and flue gas ducting from surface oxidation and sulfur-bearing gas corrosion. HTSG-791 outperforms organic coatings that carbonize on first heat exposure.
High-temperature heat exchanger tube bundle coated with Epo-Weld™ HTSG silicone-glass coating for oxidation protection
Heat Exchangers
Apply to heat exchanger tube bundles and headers to prevent oxidation pitting and surface corrosion on steel and stainless steel components operating in high-temperature gas streams.
Stainless steel components coated with Epo-Weld™ HTSG for extreme temperature oxidation
Stainless Steel Components
Extend service life of stainless steel fixtures, brackets, and structural components in high-temperature oxidizing atmospheres. The silicone-glass layer supplements the native oxide passivation layer.
Industrial chemical process equipment protected with Epo-Weld™ HTSG high temperature silicone-glass coating
Chemical Process Equipment
Coat reactor vessels, chemical storage tanks, and process pipework exposed to combined heat and chemical attack. HTSG-791 resists acids, alkalis, salts, and humidity after full cure.
Industrial sensor housing coated with Epo-Weld™ HTSG for thermal and chemical protection
High-Temperature Sensors & Housings
Protect thermocouple sheaths, sensor housings, and probe bodies from oxidation and chemical contamination in extreme-temperature measurement applications.
  • Incure Epo-Weld™ HTSG is a single-component silicone-glass coating used to protect metals, stainless steel, and ceramics from oxidation, scaling, and surface corrosion at temperatures up to 1,400°F. It is applied to furnace components, exhaust manifolds, heat exchangers, boiler casings, and industrial process equipment where organic coatings would carbonize and fail.

  • Epo-Weld™ HTSG-791 cures by heat at 400°F (204°C) for 1 hour. During this initial cure the silicone binder system fuses the glass frits into a continuous inorganic glass film. The coating achieves full oxidation resistance and adhesion to the substrate on first thermal excursion to service temperature.

  • Epo-Weld™ HTSG-791 is rated to 1,400°F (760°C) continuous service temperature. The fused inorganic glass matrix provides stable oxidation protection without degradation, outgassing, or delamination across this range.

  • Epo-Weld™ HTSG-791 adheres to metals including steel, stainless steel, and cast iron, as well as ceramics and porous refractory substrates. The silicone-glass system bonds mechanically and chemically to metal oxide surfaces during the initial heat cure, forming an integrated protective layer.

  • Apply Epo-Weld™ HTSG-791 by brush or spray to a clean, dry substrate. The 400–800 cP viscosity provides workable consistency for brush application on complex geometries. After application, cure at 400°F for 1 hour. Multiple coats may be applied to increase film thickness and coating density.

  • Yes. Epo-Weld™ HTSG-791 offers excellent resistance to humidity, acids, alkalis, and salt spray after full cure. The inorganic glass matrix is chemically inert and does not absorb moisture, making it suitable for chemical process equipment, boiler casings, and outdoor industrial applications where weather and chemical exposure combine with high operating temperatures.
